Dr. Michael Nettles

Dr. Nettles currently serves as the Senior Director of Therapy Services for WIN FAMILY HEALTH.  He has more than 30 years of direct practice and administrative and managerial expertise in the areas of behavioral health, community corrections, substance abuse and mental health services.

Dr. Nettles received his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Education from the University of Alabama, located in Birmingham, Alabama.  He is also a graduate of Capella University, completing a master’s Level Certificate Program in Mental Health Counseling.  He received his Master of Arts Degree in Ministry from the Birmingham Theological Seminary in Birmingham, Alabama, and his doctorate degree in Ministry with a concentration on Christian Counseling Psychology, from Freedom Bible College and Seminary in Rogers, Arkansas.  He recently was a recipient of a honorary Doctorate Degree in Divinity, from the Restoration International University. He also holds a Graduate level Certificate in Leadership Studies, from the John Leland Center for Theological Studies, located in Arlington, Virginia.  Dr. Nettles served on the Maryland Board of Professional Counseling, under the leadership of Governor Larry Hogan from 2018 until 2022.

Dr. Nettles holds numerous professional licensures and certifications in the field of chemical dependence and substance abuse. He is also a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Maryland.  He is also a Licensed Professional Counselor, in the District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of Virginia.  He is a master’s Level Addiction Counselor and a Department of Transportation, Substance Abuse Professional.  He is certified by the National Certification Commission for Addiction Professionals and the International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium.  Dr. Nettles is a Certified National Professional Educator and Trainer for NAADA, the Association for Addiction Professionals.  Dr. Nettles has dedicated his life to serving God and helping other people.  His personal motto is “You can make it, if you Try” (Sylvester Stewart).
